You know this has happened quite often to me. A song in my playlist I never knew I added until one day I listen to it and suddenly, it's there is a change to my life. A recommendation from someone, and I don't give too much attention to it. But when I finally do come around to it, it becomes my favourite band of all time, and I was even lucky to see them play live the same year I discovered them. Maybe it was mentioned before in conversation, or it was a quick glance while I scroll through my endless amount of playlists, or handwritten on a note from someone special for a list of songs to play at a disco. But at the time I didn't realise how signifant it would be, and the permanent influence it would have on my perspective of music. Life is short. But I am so grateful for music. I have my whole life to find new sounds and to go to all the concerts I can dream of. 22.01.24
